First Storyboard


Film opens with a title sequence with fake production company name and title.

Open with establishing shot of the city and starts to zoom in on one of the windows.

Fade to the main character's name on a bulletin board. Ian M. Cylout (initials and last name are a play on the phrase I'm a sellout)

Ian starts monologuing about life as an L.A. private eye and how people used to come to him for work non stop. Mentions how the only thing to get him interested is if someone asks him right in his face.

Right as he mentions that someone in the office pulls down the newspaper Ian is reading and asks if Ian is interesting in finding his daughter's lost dog.

Ian is appalled by this. Starts talking about how he used to have been flock to him for work nonstop before the person says that Ian has gone through this routine plenty of times already.

Ian talks about life has not been the same after the "incident." Camera zooms in on Ian with unrelated sound effects playing in the background.

Person asks about the incident where Ian says he doesnt want to talk about it and wants the person to leave his office immediately. 

Person starts to walk super slowly and talks about how he would have paid a large sum of money for this work. 

Ian asks when he can start.

Person and Ian shake hands.

Fade to black

Preparing for Film

Actors: I'm planning on working by myself and with Max, a friend of mine. Costumes: I'm probably going to be wearing a white dress shirt, black tie, and fedora (which we can get from a thrift store). Max is probably going to wear just casual clothing since this is supposed to be a parody Props: Office lamp and old rotary phone and typewriter. Some papers and manila folders. Mise-En-Scene in Goodfellas

  I decided to make my mise-en-scene assignment about the 1990 film “Goodfellas.” I originally wanted to talk about the mise-en-scene in the new Borat sequel but after some consideration the mockumentary had more of a focus on comedy and improv than on the cinematography and the lighting. I chose Goodfellas as the new film to write about because despite being a Robert DeNiro fan I haven't seen Goodfellas in a long while and decided to rewatch it. In the movie we are introduced to Henry Hill, a high profile gangster in 1950s New York City. The setting of NYC is important because the city was the epicenter of crime and mob activity during prohibition and into the 1970s. Showing how Henry must keep his connection to the mob a secret or else he is in danger of getting him arrested or worse, killed. Camera Angle Review of Avengers: Infinity War

Movie: Avengers: Infinity War (2017)  Director: Joe and Anthony Russo  Producer: Kevin Feige    As someone without easy access to movie streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, me finding this movie available for free on Xfinity On Demand came as a complete shock at first. As a fan of action movies and the Marvel Franchise since Iron Man 3, Infinity war has a special place in my heart. Not only is it an Avengers movie with an incredible talented cast of actors such as Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Elizabeth Olsen. The use of Thanos as the main protagonist really subverts the "all-powerful villain that must be stopped at all costs trope."  Oh and spoilers if you haven't seen this amazing film yet The first scene in the movie that I would like to comment on is the beginning of the New York City fight.
